Quantum computing is a farce
Full-scale quantum computing is unlikely due to the problem of quantum entanglement, which will amplify "noise" in the signal to unmanageable levels. Gil Kilai wrote a good article available at www.ams.org from the Notices of the AMS (American Mathematical Society) that explains how quantum computing is a farce. As you increase the number of qubits at a linear rate, the complexity of building the actual quantum computer grows at an exponential rate which means it will never be feasible to build a quantum computer with enough qubits to do any kind of significant computations that can't be done much faster and more efficiently with a traditional computer.
