El Nido, Palawan is where you can find the paradise of the earth. In fact, this year 2017 it is named as the best island in the world according the Travel + Leisure magazine.
I was lucky I visited El Nido Palawan last May. Though I will say, it was the longest travel I ever took. I traveled with friends from the Netherlands and we took the Cebu Pacific Airlines from Cebu to Puerto Princessa airport. The flight will take about 45 minutes to one hour. When we arrived Puerto Princesa, we then took the van going to El Nido which took us about 5 to 6 hours land travel. We arrived 12 midnight to our hotel.
When we woke up the following day, the giant limestones surprised us. Everywhere we saw wonders. Those uniquely shapes limestones towering us, the wooden boats lining up for the island hopping, the crystal-clear waters, secret lagoons and we found new friends with different nationalities and cultures. By the way the name El Nido also mean “nest”, the place is name after the nature’s richness with the forest and ecology being protected by the government. We saw wild birds, monkeys, crocodile and we even saw dolphins and shark in the open ocean.
Once you plan to visit El Nido, Palawan, you may choose the island tours A, B, C, and D. I have tried tour A and B. In tour A, we visited the big lagoon, small lagoon, secret lagoon (it is nice to visit here when its low tide so you better arrange it with your tour guide), we ate tropical lunch at Shimizu Island, 7 Commando Beach (It has very long beach line). In tour B, we visited Snake Island, Pinagbuyutan Island, Entalula Beach, Cudugnon Cave, and Cathedral Cave. We had fun snorkeling in different parts of the islands. You may also arrange a customized tour of your preferred island destination usually available to speed boat travel providers. But for the regular pump boats, destinations are limited to five.
