Babi Yar Memorial Park

Babi Yar, a ravine in the capital of Ukraine, was used as a massacre spot for the Jewish people leaving in Kiev at that time. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the ravine was transformed into a park, currently known as the Babi Yar Memorial Park. The park contains various monuments which include adult and children statues, Jewish culture monuments and a gypsy wagon to commemorate those that were terrifically murdered during this time.
Today, Jews, including people from all over the world tour the ravine to witness this dark history of Ukraine through the story that the park tells. Sometimes, the commemoration ceremonies are held, where by people leave flowers on the monuments to honor the souls of those that were massacred.
Note: There is a similar park in Denver Colorado, with similar aims.
