Kiev, Ukraine

Spent two months here

I'm living in Kiev since child!

The economic and political situation here is very bad. Typical salary of a grocery store cashier is under $300/month, and they work hard for that salary. Even supervisors only make about twice that. However, we are simple people, having a small clean apartment and with parents and friends, along with food is enough for us. For most Western countries, a visa is not required for visits to Ukraine for up to 90 days. I recommend local guide because people are more reserved than in West so it isn't easy to meet new people and have for fun if you come alone

I invite you to Museums of planes

Marvelous collection of Soviet built aircraft. Kiev is home to the Antonov Design Bureau some there are some rare Antonov types on display. There are plenty of examples from the other builders as well: Tupolevs, Ilyushins, Sukhois, Yakovlevs, MiGs & Mils; and more besides.
Entrance fee is very reasonable and you pay a little extra to take photographs.
There are no inside exhibits. Everything is outside
